American Designers is New York City based. American Designers was designed to bring today’s latest fashion and styles at an affordable price. Before starting American Designers, I attended Harlem School of Arts to study drama. I also attended New Media Studio to study Shakespearian acting, both in New York City. It was a great opportunity to perform in performances like Raisin in the Sun by Loraine Hansberry and Julius Caesar, Macbeth, & Othello by William Shakespeare. I have one movie credit, The Warriors. Before attending the State University at Binghamton, New York, I worked for some of the biggest high end department stores in New York City like Barney’s New York, Sak’s Fifth Ave and Bloomingdales. This is where I got my knowledge of high end fashion and styles. I finally left the fashion industry to attend the State University at Binghamton. I graduated from State University at Binghamton with a degree in Theater and Pre-Law. After graduating, I landed employment with New York City Board of Education. After working for many years with the New York City Board of Education, I left to take employment as an administrator for New York City After School Programs. I decided to leave the New York City After School Programs to pursue fashion and styles as I traveled to Japan, Hong Kong, England, Paris, Italy, and finally the Caribbean. I have always enjoyed fashion and different styles for various parts of the world. I decided go back into the fashion industry starting a web business, International Styles, American Designers and Yesterdays Closet New York City. International/American Designers Styles and Yesterdays Closet will become today’s fashion and styles. American Designers will always keep you in today’s latest fashion and styles
