Flying Scotsman Gresley A3 Pacific No. 4472 late 20th C. Dixon T.6544 RPPC

This is an original real photo postcard from late 20th C. The image shows The "Flying Scotsman" Gresley A3 Pacific No. 4472. Built in 1923, and used for the first regular non-stop run from London to Edinburgh in 1928 it was in 1934 the first loco-motive in the world officially to achieve 100 m.p.h. British Rail Class 37 diesel-electric locomotive D6859 can also be seen. Publisher J, Arthur Dixon Ltd., Newport, I.W. No. T.6544. Size 146 x 98 mm. Rear Unwritten. It is in Excellent condition for age, see scans (which clearly show ALL edges). For protection it will be posted in an acid free plastic sleeve in a "Do not bend" card backed envelope. Elec00Sca watermark is NOT on item.
