Original 8 3/4 inch x 6 7/8 inch Engraving with Etching titled CUP-TOSSING.
Two half-length women, both looking at the inside of a cup which the older woman has raised in her hands, while sitting at table, in an arch.
Engraved by Charles William Sharpe (1818 - 1899).
From a painting by Nicholas Joseph Crowley (1813 - 1857). An Irish genre and portrait painter. He was highly esteemed as a portrait painter, and was especially good in painting portrait groups.
Published by Geo. Virtue, 26 Ivy Lane, London.
The engraving is in very good condition with minor edge creasing.
