Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (1791-1859) was a Russian writer, government official, and public figure, literary and theater critic, memoirist, and author of books on fishing and hunting. The book includes memoiristic essays, literary and theatrical reminiscences that the writer dedicated himself to in the 1850s (about M. Zagorsky, G. Derzhavin, M.
