"I, James Yate Johnson, of 47 Lincolns Inn Fields, in the County of London, Gentleman, do hereby declare the nature of this invention (which has been communicated to me from abroad by the Elektrizitats-Aktien-Gesellschaft, vormals W. Lahmeyer & Co. of 45 Hochsterstrasse, Frankfort-on-the-Maine, in the German Empire) and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: This invention relates to the regulation of asynchronous alternativing, or three phase, current electric motors, which, in consequence of their being subjected to irregular loads are provided with energy-storing masses, or fly wheels..."
