"I, Josef Meumayer of Niederpleis, Rhine-Province, Musician, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The subject of this invention is a process and a device for playing several music instruments simultaneously, the essential feature of which is that the lever-movements of the keys of a key-board mechanism are used to lift the detents or keys which in other music instruments prevent the production of tones as long as they are closed ..."
