Welcome to Daves Autographs - (A Signature of Fame)
I have been collecting autographs since 1978 and selling since 1997. A Signature of Fame was established as a home based business in Sydney, Australia. We started out by issuing four catalogues a year and doing collectable fairs as well. But now have decided in doing it by the internet instead. We have built up a good loyal customer base by using both of these methods, with many returning for more items. This is based on trust built up by the buyer and good customer service by us.
Authentcity
All our autographs are 100% authentic, and are either sourced by meeting the celebrity ourselves, or by industry trusted dealers (our wholesalers) that we have been dealing with over the years.
Each item is double checked by us for authenticity, before being released for sale. I have a library in excess of more than 50,000 samples and continuously growing to compare them with, also tools to check to make sure that they are what they say they are, for example: felt tip pen and not pre-print.
I have studied handwriting analysis and about autographs through literature that I have obtained through the years. Which is vital to this industry, by having the knowledge and the know how. Thus being educated in what I am dealing with.

All our autographs come with a 100% lifetime money back guarantee on the authenticity of the item (Terms & conditions do apply) for example that the item is to be in the same condition as when sold, and all accompanying paperwork is to be sent back as well, in the event of returns. The terms and conditions are sensible ones, and are their for both yours and our protection.
Paperwork
The paperwork you will receive is a “Letter of Authenticity” which is now the standard way of doing this amongst real autograph dealers, as the industry now suggest this method rather than a Certificate of Authenticity which is the same thing. This is because the number of fakes that have flooded the market, and the ease at which you can just print a pretty piece of paper.
Your receipt will also be supplied. And a copy of the “Terms & Conditions” as briefly mentioned above.
The prevention of fakes.
Due to the number of fakes that have flooded the market, most genuine autograph dealers now use “holograms” these holograms have a number on them rather like a serial number, which is unique to that item, there is no two numbers the same. They are a small non removable sticker, to attempt to remove it will damage your item because of the magnetic base, and the tempt of removing it will “Void” your guarantee. The reason for the use of the hologram is to protect both the buyer and the seller. The hologram is put on the back of the item, as to not damage or deface it in anyway. The hologram number will be also on your letter of authenticity and your receipt. Holograms will not be on items such as: clothing, microphones etc… Photo’s of the item will be kept in our records instead.
