Original British 11 inch x 17 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1953 Ken Annakin Adventure THE SWORD AND THE ROSE, based on the novel by Charles Major and starring Richard Todd, Glynis Johns as Princess Mary Tudor, James Robertson Justice as King Henry VIII, Michael Gough as The Duke of Buckingham, Jane Barrett, Peter Copley, and D.A. Clarke-Smith as Cardinal Wolsey.
During the reign of Henry VIII, Mary Tudor seeks to flee a forced marriage with the French king by escaping to America with her true love, but her plans are not so easily executed.
The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold and 2 staple holes along it.
