Seller's Description

This is a postcard showing a river somewhere in Japan, with two small native boats and a lantern on the shore.   The Japanese text is 帆船之橋矢江近, which (very roughly translated via AI) appears to mean something like "Sailboat bridge Yaechi" - is Yaechi maybe a place ?

The card was posted from Tokyo to Kilmarnock, Scotland, probably in the early 1900s.  It is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and some marks.

Please see some other Japanese cards, currently on sale.
