Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1979 Howard Zieff Boxing Comedy THE MAIN EVENT starring Barbra Streisand, Ryan O'Neal, Paul Sand, Whitman Mayo and Patti D'Arbanville.
A bankrupt entrepreneur attempts to recoup some of her losses by getting a washed-out boxer she picked up as a tax loss back into the ring - an idea her protégé isn't fond of. .
Poster photography by Francesco Scavullo (1921 - 2004). An American fashion photographer best known for his work on the covers of Cosmopolitan and his celebrity portraits. Scavullo created shots for various movie posters, album covers and Broadway shows, including one for A Star is Born.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
