RA* This is a beautiful undated but modern published official postcard from Londons Royal Academy Of Arts for this historic drawing of Henry Singleton and his work The Royal Academicians In General Assembly from 1795 with artist details, dates, dimensions etc & Royal Academy Of Arts logo on reverse being the official souvenir from when exhibited unused and mint.
Royal Academicians are meeting in a General Assembly to judge which works by students should be awarded medals. The second RA President Benjamin West is seated in the Presidents Throne. Across the table from West, in a yellow waistcoat, is Treasurer Sir William Chambers, architect of Somerset House, where the scene is set.
