As is well known, since the mid-1860s, Ge, as an artist, has fallen into opprobrium with the government. His works were banned by censorship. In 1892, the XX Traveling Exhibition did not allow the painting of the Court of the Sanhedrin, and in 1894, it was banned from exhibiting at the XXII and unofficially displayed, in the house of acquaintances, the last painting of the master-crucifixion.
