A set of six very rare printed colour postcards advertising the Expandon and Fitzall bandeaux of Thornley & Booth, hat manufacturers of Boston Mill in Hyde, Cheshire. The first showing the Expandon Patent Bandeau and Hat Lining with the heraldic flags of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. The second shows the Fitzall Patent Bandeau with the flags of the Allies, viz. Great Britain, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Russia and Japan and the last four showing the flag of Great Britain alongside the flags, respectively, of Japan, Russia, Belgium and France.
Published by Thornley & Booth, Hyde, not numbered, blank backs, c.1915.
Postally unused.
