Vesuvianite 1 Pair of Cabochon Teardrop Gems; Translucent Green-Gold; 31 ctw

Vesuvianite (sometimes also known as "idocrase") was discovered near Mt. Vesuvius in Italy, which accounts for its name. The name idocrase is from Greek and refers to it resembling other minerals. It is sometimes mistaken for jade (a variety from northern California is popularly called "California jade." These pieces are translucent with interesting inclusions that do resemble some jades. The color is a mix of greens with a golden undertone. The backs of the cabochons are polished, and look best in open-back settings to allow light from the sides and back to add glow. An unusual gem for a custom jewel design.

Payment

• Payment on Buy Now and Auctions wins must be made within 14 days of the end of your first auction or commitment to buy an item. If no payment is received, a non-paying bidder action will be filed. Any local tax is responsibility of buyer. International buyers may have Customs Duty due upon import. The purchase amount is listed on Customs Form. Shipment arrangements are made within 1 business days of cleared payment.
