From the Editor
Dear WORKBASKET Readers:
For our readers interested in our food section, you will be happy to know that we are going to try something new. Each food feature in our future issues will not only give you recipes, but also enlightening and interesting information about the primary ingredient. For example, if the featured ingredient is almonds, avocados or mushrooms, we will make every effort to let you know about the product’s history, areas and times of availability and varieties. The recipes will be from reputable test kitchens.
By now, most everyone has been on a vacation trip, so I must let you know of a marvelous trip I enjoyed with several other needlework editors. We had all been invited by the Susan Bates Co. to go to Europe to attend Paton’s yarn 1988 fall fashion show in London, England. At the show, I selected a number of designs that I hope you will like as much as I did. New model garments are being made especially for The WORKBASKET so soon we will be able to photograph them and publish their instructions in upcoming issues. I’m very excited about these anticipated changes for 1988 fall and 1989 spring issues and hope you will be anxious to see them.
