Interesting magnetic type (1932-1941) with allegory of Liberty in nice condition! It is one of the longest emission in the modern world. ecently main groups of emission with the help of this very coin were found.
Obverse
Die 1 from model 1879 - large central dots in decorations, thin script to LIBERTAS.
Die 2 - small central dots in decorations, thin nostril, left pearl in diadem far from hair.
Reverse
Die A from model 1879 - numeral "5" thick, to the right of it the inner tendrils have shape of ark of a circle, wide ribbon. Note: there are many differences in shape and thickness of details, most probably due to die polishing. This coin represents an example of the shape of a left tendril.
Die B - numeral "5" thick, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, wide ribbon.
Die C - numeral "5" thin, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, the right low tendril touches 2 berries, narrow ribbon.
Die D - numeral "5" thin, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, the right low tendril touches leaf and berry, narrow ribbon.
This coin is attributed as 1+A. For the high interest of collectors to these types and to make the attribution of them easy it was decided to publish the complete classification of types in Numista catalog en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces168.html with the images of this very coin.
