Hand Coloured Woodblock Print
This is an actual page from the book entitled
"A NATURAL HISTORY OF THE NESTS AND EGGS OF BRITISH BIRDS"
BY REV F.O. MORRIS
These prints were produced by Benjamin Fawcett of Yorkshire, a Victorian printer who developed the process of printing in colour from wood blocks; they were then finished by hand with added colour.
The print is accompanied by the original descriptive text where possible.
