"We, Fletcher Russell & Company Limited, William Russell Neil, and William Fletcher, all of Palatine Works, Warrington, in the County of Lancaster, Manufacturers of Gas Apparatus, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: This invention relates to an improved valve applicable primarily to cooking apparatus, such as vegetable steamers and other like cooking appliances in which articles of food are cooked by steam, by may also be employed in combination with devices in which steam, air, water, or gas are motive agents..."
