Original French 15 inch x 21 inch Poster for the 1966 Don Sharp Hammer Horror Movie RASPUTIN THE MAD MONK starring Christopher Lee, Barbara Shelley, Richard Pasco, Francis Matthews, Renée Asherson, Derek Francis, Suzan Farmer, Joss Ackland and Alan Tilvern.
Thrown out of his monestary for licentious and drunken behaviour, Rasputin travels to St Petersburg to try his luck. Through a daliance with one of the czarina's ladies in waiting he soon gains influence at court with his powers of healing and of hypnotism. But he also makes enemies who wish to see him dead.
Poster art by Boris Grinsson (1907 - 1999). An artist famous for drawing the designs for over 2000 French film posters.
