Puzyrevsky carried out hydrographic survey and description of a number of rivers in the European part of the Russian Empire-Don, Dniester, Seversky Donets, Okha, Volkhov. Author of projects for the construction of inter-basin connections - Volga-Donsky, Belomoro-Baltic, and others. He took part in the design and construction of a system of locks on the Moscow-river.
