London Blue Topaz -- what you get when you expose an ordinary clear topaz to an electron stream at a nuclear facility. It turns into a really butt ugly color, but when you heat it up a tad, the ugly goes away and you're left with the color of the ocean off the Pacific Coast. Just the most awesome blue you ever saw, with just a hint of green to it. I'm just totally in love with them. These particular London Blues are Quantum, or concave cut -- adds a new dimension to an already pretty stone. Really good sparkle and fire. Thi ring is a nice simple design. It's more about the stone than the ring, but it's a nice setting just the same. At SylvaRocks, all of our Sterling Silver is made with a state of the art alloy which modifies the traditional Sterling Silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with the metalloid Germanium. Adding Germanium to the Sterling Silver results in a highly tarnish resistant silver. Since the resulting metal is still 92.5% pure silver, is still qualifies as Sterling Silver -- just better.
