- The British Astronomical Association (BAA) was founded in 1890 and has its headquarters in London. They have been very active in the field of amateur astronomy ever since. The headquarters are in an office in Burlington House, Piccadilly., located on the top floor of the building that houses the Royal Astronomical Society.
