Genuine Antique 9ct Rose Gold Mizpah Lovers Brooch Pin
Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.
I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe. I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras. I also have a massive stock of highly valuable and collectable items never seen before on the internet.
I find it heart-breaking that brooches such as this no longer seem to have the appeal they once did as they are one of the most versatile pieces of jewellery you could have.
Mizpah brooches are still very popular however and this is an excellent example.
ABOUT THIS BROOCH
Constructed from solid 9ct rose gold (375 parts per 1000)
Maker assay marked old style UK, x-ray tested.
Dates to latter end of the 19th Century (c1870s)
The style is classic Victorian, of sturdy construction and high quality.
There is wonderful detailing and the Mizpah logo in black enamel.
Fastens with a metal hinged pin and C hook clasp - all in good order.
Condition is very good, especially considering its age.
Length is 35mm.
Width is 10 mm.
It sits 7.5 mm proud.
Weight is under 5 grams (I don't sell quality items like this by weight)
You would expect to pay between £200 and £350 for a brooch like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.

CONDITION REPORT
Many of my brooches are VERY old and have some signs of this. I ensure they are fully operational and can be worn from arrival but I do not like polishing them to "as new" because I feel this detracts from their history. I will consider doing so, for a small fee, if you ask nicely ;-)
I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
