I am the 3rd owner of this car. The original owner put on 3,700 miles in the first 3 years then sold it to the 2nd owner in Iowa. He put on 1,800 miles over the next 5 years. He then put the car on blocks, drained the gas tank, and removed the carburetor, intending to clean it, but it sat there until 2 years ago when it was discovered by a dealer whose Dad was doing work in the owner's home. He mentioned it to the dealer I bought it from, and he offered to sell it for him. The front and rear caps were replaced due to deterioration, and it received a recoat in the original medium saddle color. The carburetor was cleaned and the battery was replaced. They put gas in it and it started right up. It is all original with matching numbers on the engine and transmission. The only modifications it has had are a complete brake and parking brake rebuild with stainless steel pistons and calipers (which have original markings and look like the originals), a new set of brake hoses, and a new master cylinder which is year correct and has matching markings to the original and the parking brake has new cables. It has a new alternator which is year correct and has original markings.  When I purchased it, there was a chrome replacement installed. New shocks were installed at the time of the brake work this past winter and transmission seals were replaced. One of the first 2 owners placed quick racing bolts on the valve covers. It has a Monza dual exhaust installed but I do not know if this was a factory installed option (it was available as such that year.) The interior is in perfect shape, not even a stain in the original floor mats. Everything is original and works (even the clock - although it doesn't keep very good time).  The AC is factory and still works. It has an alarm system which has been disabled. Our local expert is a NCRS judge and has done an appraisal for insurance. He judges the car to be excellent inside and out.  He states in his appraisal, "there is every reason to believe this is a truly original matching car with miles which are most likely true on the odometer." Original options included: Power Brakes, Power Windows, AC, Power Steering, AM/FM Stereo Radio, Custom Interior Trim. The tires are the original bias ply Good Year Eagle ST's with full tread. The car starts easily and runs smoothly. Since I have owned it, it has been stored in a heated shop with a car cover. (To do so I remove the antenna and replace it when I drive it.)
