New, old stock dynamo brush set for Lucas model C45E and C45J 3-brush dynamos. Lucas part no. D38 / 227062 ( Remax no. CB102 )
Principal applications: Austin 10hp 1932- 33; BSA 10hp Scout 1934-37 plus some early 1938 Ser. 5; Citroen 10hp 4-cyl 1933; Commer B15 & N1 6v. 1937; Hillman Minx 10hp 1931-35; Morris Minor SV 1931-34, 8hp `UB` models 1935-36, Series I 8hp GPO Van 1936.
Dimensions: main brush cross-section 0.781" x 0.265", overall length 0.781". control brush cross section 0.781" x 0.219", overall length 0.781". This is an early production set without the later introduced 'step' on the 3rd / control brush. Lucas made the change to slightly improve commutation. Either type may be used.
Note. This brush set has the same dimensions as one other Lucas set (D53/203232) but with different grade carbon main brushes. I guarantee that this brush set has the correct main brushes for C45E and C45J dynamos.
