"We, Wilhelm Vogeler, Gentleman of Cologne in the Province of Rhineland, and Julius Seits, Cooper-master, of Bockenheim, Frankfurt-om-the-Maine, in the Province of Hessen-Nassan, Kingdom of Prussia, do hereby declare the nature of this invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, to be particularly described and ascertained in and by the following statement: The apparatus herafter described and represented in the annexed drawing, is intended for the use of trailway travellers so that when the trian runs nto the station, where they intend to get, out they may give the guard a signal to open the carriage doors..."
