The book is inscribed, by the author to Dr Stevens on the first blank endpaper and there is an accompanying hand written letter (also by the author) loosely inserted in the book.

The book measures approx 20cm (8") by 26cm (10.8") and contains 290 pages.

Internally the publication is complete with no loss.
the pages themselves are largely unopened, so the book has never been fully read.
There is some age toning on the endpapers.
The original bound cloth page marker is present but partially detatched.

The cloth on board coverboards with a Vellum spine has general surface marking with some water staining visible both front and back.
Lower board has a slight warp
