| In 1956 when I was 17 years old I worked after school and on Saturdays for my dad in his resturant. He had two cash registers, one on each end of the long counter, and on a shelf just below the cash registers he kept a coffee can which we used for pennies. When it wasn't busy I would go thru the pennies looking to add to my collection. So these pennies have been out of circulation for over 68 years. |
