Star Wars Galactic Files was released in 2012 and was Topps’ largest base card set at the time for the Star Wars product. With an emphasis on characters and creatures, the cards are almost similar to sports cards with character descriptions and “power” levels on the back.

At the time, the release included canon and expanded universe characters and it was considered an official canon product. However, with the purchase by Disney, this set is considered to be a Legends set as many characters and stories are now outside of the official Star Wars canon.

For the first time, parallel base card variants were introduced to Star Wars cards. Blue foil cards of the base cards are numbered to 350 and red foil cards are numbered to 35. There are also 3 short-printed variant image cards in the base set (#76 – Darth Vader, #96 – Luke Skywalker, #125 – Princess Leia Organa). Each of the short prints has a different image on the front of the card when compared with the regular base card.

5 insert sub-sets are available to chase and each hobby box included top-loader poster.

Main hits are found at an average rate of 2 per hobby box. There are 17 autographs including many of the main cast members. Irvin Kersher, director of The Empire Strikes Back, also has an autograph inserted. Sketches are also part of the main hits and are by various artists. Manufactured patches (30 total) were introduced in this set and are embroidered patches with character images in the front.

Shipping and Packaging

• The Local Pickup option is available only to the Greater Toronto Area. Time and place will be determined by us.
• Shipping costs are calculated based on size and weight and the destination address.
• Multiple orders within a 48-hour period can be combined to save on shipping costs. Please contact us for a combined invoice before payment.
• Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days of receiving payment.
• All shipments will have delivery confirmation and insurance. A tracking number will be provided once the item ships.
• Item(s) will be packaged securely as possible to prevent damage.
• Premium hit cards (sketches, autographs, etc) will be packaged in a card sleeve and top-loader.
• Card sets will be packaged based on quantity in sleeves, team bags or cardboard boxes.
• We will only ship to verified Paypal addresses.

Shipping costs for single cards and sets are grouped usually by the number of cards and occasionally by weight (ie medallion cards, etc). Below are the typical number of trading cards for each group. Costs are usually an increase of $2-5 dollar per group.

• Group 1 – 1-3 trading cards (under 40 grams)
• Group 2 – 4-200 trading cards (under 500 grams)
• Group 3 – 200+ trading cards (over 500 grams)

Payment and Processing

• Payment will need to be received within 5 days of winning the auction. If there are any issues, please contact us.
• Paypal is the only accepted form of online payment. Cash is only available for the local pickup option (for GTA buyers only)
• Returns are accepted under certain conditions (ie not as described, etc). Please see our Return Policy.

Duties & Taxes

• Canadian residents, tax will be automatically added to the purchase based on your province or territory. At this time, Saskatchewan residents are responsible for declaring their own provincial taxes.
• International residents, the value of the item will be declared on any required customs form.
• The Buyer is responsible for any additional fees or taxes.
