SPECIAL FEATURES

WHAT'S NEW? - A brief insight into some of the subjects Target Gun intends to provide more detailed coverage of in future issues, in exploring the avenues in target shooting which will help ensure the sport survives.  Feedback and ideas from readers is welcome too.
GUILTY! - Britain's leading international pistol shot, Mick Gault, describes what it's like to be an honest, upright citizen, an ex serviceman and one who represents his country, and the treated like a criminal for the actions of someone else!
MY SPORT - Britain's leading lady pistol shot, Carol Page, describes what being an international pistol competitor means to her, and how devastating it will be for her if the sport she has striven so hard, for so long, to excel at is denied her.
MARLIN .22 RIFLES - Marlin is one of the best known names in .22 sporting rifles and a leading manufacturer of sporting arms.  Geoff Allen tries out a trio; one bolt action, one lever action and one semi-auto.
ROGERS & SPENCER REVOLVER - This Euroarms' copy of the Rogers & Spencer percussion revolver looks set ot be one category of arm still available to target shooters, being an exact replica of the original.  If you have shunned the smell of grease and roar of the cloud (of smoke!) then now is the time to give it a try!
HISTORIC ARMS - A group called The Historic Arms Rescue has been fighting a 'special case' scenario with the Home Office, to ensure that those pistols of particular value as part of our national heritage are not destroyed.  The guns they refer to are described by some as "the Purdeys of the pistol world".  The government seems persuaded by the case put, probably as much on the cost savings as in any genuine interest in our heritage.  Whilst we applaud anything which saves something for the future, the actual concept has evoked a mixed reaction among shooters themselves.
THE CASE FOR THE .32 - Paul Leatherdale is another of Britain's leading pistol exponents, and he explains why the UIT Centrefire event is central to the survival of Britain's future participation in world pistol events.
PRODUCT REVIEW - Efficient, easy to use and environmentally friendly - this new barrel cleaning foam from Forrest sounds almost too good to be true.  It impressed our tester though!
