This beautiful medal was created for the 2001 DISNEY WORLD 30TH ANNIVERSARY Big plans were made for WDW’s 30th anniversary in October of 2001, but those plans were put on hold after the tragic events of Sept. 11. A more subdued kickoff was held in December, but the nation, as well as the travel industry, was still reeling.
Walt Disney World Medallion Collection Brush Nickel coin commemorating 30 year anniversary. Measures 1.5" in diameter and weighs 1 ounce. The reeded edge has a space that says 2001.
Ii originally came in a flat cardboard holder which I do not have and I do not know where it was minted.
