Rare and very collectable Antique Early George III Sterling Solid Silver Basting, Gravy or Hash Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For London 1795, making this a 228 Year old Antique Treasure.
18th CENTURY, Fully hallmarked for George Smith III & William Fearn, making this a very collectable basting spoon as they were only registered together from 1788 to 1796.
The Basting Spoon is 29cm/11.75 inches Long, and weighs a hefty 99gms, it is of the Old English pattern, it is monogrammed to the handle very ornately with the letters HV I believe but please look at the pictures and try to decipher it for yourself although the spoon is big it has a very elegant feel to it.

The Hallmarks and makers marks are a little rubbed but readable, the spoon is made of a good gauge of silver.
The condition is good Antique condition for a spoon that is 228 years old, a little wear to the tip of the bowl a small dink in the bowl no repairs surface scratches commensurate with age.
