(1) 10 Lb., Factory Sealed Can of R449 HFO, Drop-In Replacement for R22 HCFC-22.
(1) Enviro-Safe Model# 3272, R22 Single Manifold Gauge Set for use with cylinders or cans with can tapers.
- Set includes:
- *1 each R22 single manifold gauge
- *2 each 36" hoses
- *1 each, Anti-Blow Back-Low-Loss fitting shut off/low flow valve.
- (1) Pocket Thermometer for checking return and supply air temperatures.
* The can has a top-mount, on/off valve with a 1/4" male flare hose connection.
(1) R449a Equipment sticker required by EPA to be placed on the unit showing the new R449a refrigerant is in the system.

This revolutionary refrigerant is the only retrofit replacement for R22 that we have been using in all R22 systems.
R449A is EPA SNAP approved and A1 ASHRAE certified as non-flammable and non-toxic.
The refrigerant does not require design modifications or component changes.
R449a can operate with existing mineral oils present in R22 systems.
R449a is an HFO blend, which is the environmentally friendly alternative to the commonly used HFC blend in other refrigerants.
Using R449a as a replacement is easy.
Just use the same tools, test instruments, and recovery machines as you use with a R22 system.
R449A can accommodate state and federal legislation as they phase out high-GWP refrigerants, such as R22 with a 2088 GWP.
R449A is formulated to be trouble-free and works with all R22 compressors, system components and mineral & POE oils.

1) Ensure the right equipment is available (e.g., recovery unit and cylinders, container for recovered lubricant, vacuum pump, weighing scales, replacement drier, etc.)
2) Record baseline data to establish the normal operating conditions for the equipment
3) Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the unit to find the recommended R22 charge in order to determine the amount of R449A to add.
4) Replace the filter/drier if moisture is suspected in the system. This is not necessary on a sealed system.
5) Having evacuated the system, liquid charge the unit with R449A up to 90% of the original charge amount of R22 and then compare to baseline data.
6) Switch on the unit and compare the baseline data, monitor sight glasses, suction line pressure and temperature, and discharge temperature; add additional R449A up to the recommended R22 system charge amount as needed.
7) Check system thoroughly for leaks; and repair as needed.
8) Clearly label the system to show it contains R449A.
