Seller's Description
Due to the nature of most Opal bearing boulder rock, where Nature is never as perfect as a gemstone made in a laboratory or factory, some stones may have natural "imperfections" and they, along with any other natural inclusions and/or cracks in the Opal, are intentionally left as created by Nature, rather than filled with resins and/or any other artificial filling or colour changing additives.
This Boulder Opal Belt Buckle do have some cracks which are not visible to the naked eye, unless very closely examined under a spotlight or as seen on the attached photos which have been blown up many times the buckle's actual size.
The silver is slightly oxidized, but can be polished back to silver colour, if preferred.
We seized manufacturing Boulder Opal belt buckles by the SilverForm process some decades ago and we are now left with just a few.
Made in Australia.
We do not import, promote or sell Synthetic or Man Made Opal, nor any non-Australian mined Opal.
On 27 July, 1993, The Australian Government proclaimed Opal as the National Gemstone of Australia!
