A very Rare Antique Victorian English Sterling Solid Silver Basting, Gravy or Stuffing Spoon, Fully Hallmarked For NEWCASTLE 1845, making this a 177 Year old Antique Treasure.
This
Spoon is 12 inches/31cms Long, and has a very good weight of 107gms,
it is of the Fiddle Pattern with the shell decoration, it is not monogrammed but has a crest of a Heron/Crane or Stork to the handle .

The Hallmarks are clearly struck, the spoon is made from a very good gauge of silver with a nice large bowl.
The condition is very good Antique condition for a spoon of 177 years old, tiny dinks to the bowl no dents or repairs, no sign of wear to the tip of the bowl ,a few surface scratches commensurate with age, nothing to spoil the over all look of the spoon.
A VERY COLLECTABLE LARGE SOLID SILVER PROVINCIAL BASTING SPOON,THAT WOULD GRACE ANY TABLE OR MAKE A FANTASTIC ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION OF SILVERWARE.
