Seller's Description

RICHARD JOHNSON - Out of the Shadows

Hardback with dust cover, 288 pages.  Excellent condition. Black and white and colour photographs.  Published by Greenwater Publishing 2002.

Richard Johnson talks candidly about life as a top jockey and takes the reader into the world where triumph and disaster are separated by onlf beat. Pursued by the tabloid press, a fugitive from his own home, he exclusively deals with his three year relationship with and the traumatic aftermath of his split with Zara Phillips.

He relates the full story of his battle against injury and recalls some of the greatest wins of his career including the Gold Cup on Looks Like Trouble. He also writes of the people who have influenced him including long-term mentor David Nicholson and the best horses he has written including Anzum and Florida Pearl.
