Interesting light type with portrait of Bernardo O'Higgins (1778-1842) right in attractive condition. Recently with the help of this coin the main types of the emission were discovered and basic classification was introduced.
Obverse
Die 1 - large portrait, epaulette with wide decorations, convex medals, fine script, signature FR. Thenot under the sash of the Legion of Merit of Chile.
Die 2 - large portrait, epaulette with wide decorations, medals almost incused, bold script, signature under the sash.
Die 3 - small portrait, narrow epaulette and the sash, medals stylized, no signature under the sash, wide script to LIBERTADOR B.O'HIGGINS, period between B and O in the center.
Die 4 - small portrait, very narrow epaulette and the sash, medals stylized, no signature under the sash, tall script to LIBERTADOR B.O'HIGGINS, period between B and O closer to B.
Die 5 - small portrait, narrow epaulette with wide decorations inside, narrow sash, medals stylized, no signature under the sash, fine script to LIBERTADOR B.O'HIGGINS.
Reverse
Die A - wreath close to center, tip of '1' in denomination sharp, numerals in date wide.
Die B - wreath close to center, tip of '1' in denomination sharp, numerals in date narrow, the date condensed.
Die C - wreath closer to rim, tip of '1' in denomination blunt, PESO bold, numerals in date wide.
