1946 THEATRE PROGRAMME

Measuring 5 inches (12cm) by 7 1/4 inches (18cm) this vintage theatre programme is in good pre-owned condition, although the staple is rusty (which I've found is often the case with programmes of this age) and there are some notations on the front and back covers.

Of particular interest is that this play was directed by Anthony Quayle, who is of course better known as an actor.  According to my research, this was his debut as a theatrical director.

This is part of a large collection of theatre programmes and other memorabilia spanning several decades that I'm in the process of selling.  The original owner had a habit of making little notes on her programmes showing when she'd seen the play in question, and who was with her.  At the bottom of the front cover, it says "July 11th 1946" and at the top of the back cover she wrote "With Chris & Mik (from New Lodge, Windsor)".  Apart from that, it's unmarked, and I'll make sure the programme is well-protected when I ship it to the purchaser.
