It's in the Beryl family, along with Goshenite, Emerald and Morganite. This Aqua's in the light-to-mid range of color. That's basically a cost factor. If you want the really dark material, let me know, but it literally triples the price. What we're aiming for is the most bang for buck, the most color and still be in same price range as most of our other stones this size. We think we've accomplished that. Decent color, decent price. Like I said, if you want the really high dollar stuff, let me know -- we can do that. We'll do our best to make you happy (but your wallet's going to gripe about it...) This is a great design for a ring. It has our Aquamarine set with not four, not six, but 12 prongs! The effect is that of a bezel setting holding the stone in place. The sides of the ring are stylized with a twisted rope design making this ring a classy addition to your collection. We've also started using a special alloy in our sterling silver that is tarnish resistant, so your ring will be beautiful AND hassle-free for a long time to come. Silver is extremely popular right now.
