The paper is ordinary. Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages was founded in Moscow in 1815 as a private Armenian Lazarev School at the expense of the wealthy Armenian family Lazarin (Lazarev). Their main goal was to create a higher education institution for Armenians (Russians also had such an opportunity). Despite the special character of the Institute, news of its excellent boarding school and national Armenian school spread far among the Armenians of Russia, Turkey, and India.
