Seller's Description

Located in Graham County and "tucked away in a corner of Western North Carolina is one of the most unusual forests in the nation -- a tribute to the poet, Joyce Kilmer. The forest, comprising 3,840 acres, contains wonderful specimens of poplar trees that rise as high as 125 feet and are around 20 feet in circumference, also many other varieties of large trees. Kilmer, who died on the field of battle in France, is best known for his immortal poem, 'Trees', which begins: 'I think that I shall never see - a poem lovely as a tree'."
