Some Information About reelgiftsuk

Giving you a little more insight into the seller.

We are a family run company who have been in business online since 2001. We offer a friendly, personalised service to our customers and because of that we can custom make some of our film cell items. We have different posters for most of the films we offer and we accept e-mailed pictures from customers who wish us to use their pictures for our items. We answer e-mails as best as we can as we also offer the opportunity for customers to request certain charahters/scenes for film cells. These requests must be asked prior to purchase as cells cannot be guaranteed once purchased.

We have just started our business on ebid but have been going for several years on other auction sites as well as our own website, so although our feedback is low - we'd like to offer reasurrance that our feedback elsewhere is above 99% (can't please everyone!) and is in excess of 10,200 positives.

Shipping and Payment Terms:

UK Buyers - We offer both 1st class post and Recorded Delivery options to our auctions. However, if you need your item next day we can arrange a Special Delivery option at additional cost - e-mail for details. Payment can be made by Paypal, Cheque or Postal Order (made payable to Sheila Masters)

International Buyers - we ship by standard Airmail. We can offer an International Signed for service which gives added insurance against loss/damage for an additional cost. Please read our "receiving damaged items" section below as standard Airmail does not cover you for receiving damaged items. Please e-mail for a quote for the Signed for service, if required.

We offer a 14 day Returns Policy:

Made to Order items - ie. All film cell Presentations (Actor/Actress Montages, Film Montages, Actor/Actress Signed Photo Film Cell Presentations, Trios, Duets, Double's and Single's) as well as buyer requests for specific scenes on our Plaques and Bookmarks.

We don't mind answering questions so that you are happy with making the purchase.

Made To Order items are not covered by our general returns policy or the distance selling rights (Please bear this in mind if you are buying a made to order item) - here is what is stated within ebay :-

"The cancellation rights do not apply to certain items including software, audio or video recordings that have been unsealed, perishable goods such as food or flowers, or items that have been made to order"

For Straightforward returns (Not including made to order items):

  1. If you are not happy with your purchased item, please e-mail us immediately. Please read the rules specifically regarding Hand Made to Order items as they are not covered by the distance selling rules.
  2. Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt, using the same packaging / type of packaging as was sent and in the exact same resaleable condition - we will not accept damaged items.
  3. We will not be responsible for items being returned that become lost or damaged in the post, and the buyer then becomes liable to make a claim for compensation against the Postal System themselves. 
  4. In the event of the item becoming lost or damaged on its return, we will not be liable to refund your money - we therefore insist that items are returned using a trackable service to cover yourself.
  5. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 20% of the item cost for each item returned - this is allowable under ebay rules and covers the cost of postage (which is offered free at point of sale, but isn't free!)
  6. BY MAKING A PURCHASE YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND WILL BE REITERATED TO BOTH EBAY AND PAYPAL IF CLAIMS ARE MADE WHICH GOES AGAINST THESE TERMS.
In all circumstances of items being returned - the return postage costs will be met by the buyer. 

 

Receiving Damaged Items

 

 

We cannot be held responsible for damages caused whilst the item is in the hands of postal services.
UK Buyers  - 
  • In the event of receipt of damaged goods - it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim against Royal Mail.
  • From our experience Royal Mail will contact you directly and will require you to send them the packaging and whatever else they need to provide compensation. 
  • They usually require a response within 3 working days, which is why we ask for you to deal directly. If they send us the letter, we would then have to forward it on to you causing a delay and potential loss of compensation.
  • Items which are damaged cannot be returned to us as it cannot then be proven if the damage was caused going to or from the buyer.
  • We will e-mail you a copy of the proof of posting to support your claim, however, we cannot send the actual certificate in case of claims by other buyers.
  • By making a purchase you are agreeing to our policy.

 

International Buyers - here is our Royal Mail statement:-  "Unfortunately we can’t accept claims where the problems were caused by another postal operator or other third party" 
  • We offer extra Insurance for our Airsure service at an extra cost of £4.20 on top of the Airmail charge. 
  • Buyers who do not purchase the optional Insurance accept the risk for loss or damage and will not be able to make a claim against us. 
  • If you want to ensure you get your item and it is insured in cases of damage we suggest you pay for the additional insurance. 
  • BY MAKING A PURCHASE YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND WILL BE REITERATED TO PAYPAL IF CLAIMS ARE MADE WHICH GOES AGAINST THESE TERMS.
Claims for Non-Receipt.
  • In all cases - we will file a claim for compensation to Royal Mail. Due to new practices by Royal Mail - UK customers will have to wait for refunds until they have completed their investigation. 
  • They are now contacting buyers directly to obtain proof in writing that you have not received your item and then they will compensate. 
  • The reason why we will not give a refund immediately is that, from previous experience, goods have either then turned up during the investigation or that we have refunded the buyer and then the do not respond to Royal Mail, which means we are than out of pocket as they do not refund.
  • We are sorry to take this action but we are a business which cannot afford being out of pocket for the money or the goods, which is happening more and more often these days!
  • BY MAKING A PURCHASE YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND WILL BE REITERATED TO PAYPAL IF CLAIMS ARE MADE WHICH GOES AGAINST THESE TERMS.
