Some Information About luvmyjewelry
About me: I have been a businesswoman since 1998 but I opened my current business in 2007. I started my business for extra money and fun, and even though I am now considered “disabled”by spinal arthritis, I still enjoy it greatly. I decided to limit my inventory to jewelry not only because I love it and know a great deal about it, but because I want to offer my customers fine jewelry at reasonable prices, especially in the current economy.
I am a precious metal clay artist and a jeweler. I will be offering my own work as often as I am able. These are unique, one of a kind, pieces. You will never see them on anyone else. Many of my settings will be sculpted by me, and, occasionally, I may offer pre-smithed mountings set with my gems. I will take special orders. Feel free to contact me to discuss it.
Much of the mounted jewelry I sell is created from sterling silver containing 92.5% pure silver set with semi-precious or precious gemstones. My own work will be 99.9% pure silver, occasionally plated with 22K gold. I will also, on occasion, be offering some ancient Roman glass and some fine cubic zirconia. In addition, I may offer gold settings or sterling silver plated with rhodium (a cousin of platinum) or gold.
Take care when shopping for silver jewelry. There is a metal used in jewelry called by many names, but a few of them are German Silver, Argent Silver, and Argentium. This metal is made from nickel, zinc, and sometimes copper. There is no actual silver in it. While jewelry made with this metal is pretty and it makes pretty pendants, it is a base metal, so it is fashion jewelry and will tarnish more quickly and color your skin when used in rings and bracelets.
I do not drop ship my jewelry because I want the opportunity to inspect it before I offer it to you to insure that I am offering the quality you deserve.
