Seller's Description

MacDonald Blended Scotch Highland Type Whisky Flask c. 1935

This bottle is in good condition, no cracks or chips

Reasonably clean, but the inside has some residue inside the shoulders.  The glass has turned an even yellow color, except at the neck.

Still has most of the original front label

The label says "Blended Scotch Highland Type Whisky", "Blended by A. MacDonald & Co. Ltd., Los Angeles, U.S.A." and "Eighty Six Proof"

I can't find any information about the company.  This was probably one of many short-lived companies that started selling liquor after Prohibition ended.  This was found in a box with several other 1930s era liquor bottles.

Measures 7½ inches high, 3¾ inches wide, holds one pint

Embossed on the back is "Federal Law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle."  This was required on all liquor bottles sold in the U.S. between 1935 and 1964.

"One Pint" is embossed on the front, "R-357" on the bottom

Has an elaborate embossed design on the glass, including a shield on the back and curlicue borders.

The screw-on cap says Seagram's, but I don't know if it's the original cap for this bottle.
