  • General Comments: Rainbow 4 buses belong to the Trent Barton bus company based in Derbyshire. The company began as the Trent Motor Traction Company back in 1913. After buy outs of numerous other bus companies, it started operations with the Derby Corporation in 1949. Many bus companies were nationalised into the National Bus Company in 1969. Eventually it became a private company again in 1989. A merger would eventually take place with the Barton bus company to form the now well known name (in that part of the world) of “trentbarton”.
