Main features:

- News Lines:  33008 and 50007 are both repainted in green livery, new viaduct at Stewarts Lane is completed, HSTs to run to Bradford again, Regional to review Stansted Airport services, last Class 114 is withdrawn. All the latest news.

- Thameslink 2000:  Network SouthEast's revised plans for Thameslink 2000 have been published. Brian Perren takes a detailed look at these in the first of a two-part feature.

- Cornish 'Cromptons':  March 27 saw a rare appearance of two Construction Class 33s in Cornwall on railtour duties. The Train visited Falmouth Docks and Newquay and this photo feature shows it at Falmouth and Saltash.

- Egginton Exit:  The six 'Peak' class locomotives stored at Egginton Junction were finally moved on March 22. Five are to be scrapped and one preserved. Both convoys are pictured in this colour photo feature.

- MC Metals:  The second of a two-part feature in which Philip Sutton visits the former St.Rollox Works in Glasgow to talk to Jim MacWilliam, Managing Director of MC Metal Processing Limited.
