The central 6 pins, 3 on either side, are used to provide extra heatsinking on the 28 pin version - see 2nd picture above.
A monolithic integrated, high voltage, high current, 4-channel driver.
Incorporating the following features: push-pull four channel stepper motor driver, 4 drivers, 4.5V to 36V supply voltage, 600mA output current, -40°C to +150°C, 16-DIP case.
The device is a monolithic integrated high voltage, high current four channel driver designed to accept standard DTL or TTL logic levels and drive inductive loads (such as relays solenoids, DC and stepping motors) and switching power transistors.
With overtemperature protection, internal clamp diodes, suitable for use in switching applications at frequencies up to 5kHz
