""To the Constables of the Constabulary Force of the County of Stafford, and to the Keeper of the House of Correction at Stafford....Whereas Harry Booth of St. Edward Street, Leek, wood turner...was on the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and seventy five at the Parish of Leek...was drunk...for the said offence should pay the sum of ten shillings...should pay to Charles Haywood, the Prosecutor in the case, the sum of ten shillings six pence, for his costs...should not be paid forthwith the said Harry Booth should be imprisoned in the House of Correction, for the space of fourteen days unless the said several sums and the costs..."".
