Seller's Description
This is a first day cover from Rhodesia, marking the 15th World Ploughing Competition, and posted from Bulawayo on 26 April 1968. It is 190mm x 125mm.
Inside there is a card stiffener with details of the stamps.
There is also a brief typed letter from ‘Cecilia’, on thin airmail paper. She notes that the city is marking its 75th anniversary, “so the streets are quite gay” ; that a trade fair is starting soon and all the hotels are full, “so Bulawayo is stepping out” ; and mentions the ploughing competition.
The cover, card and letter are all in fair condition with some wear to the corners and edges.
