Seller's Description
This is a postcard with a head and shoulders view of Lieutenant William Leefe Robinson VC, Royal Flying Corps. He was the first British pilot to shoot down a German airship over the UK, during the night of 2-3 September 1915 (more details here). For this action, he was awarded the Victoria Cross.
The card is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and a few marks.
